christianbirth.org is for people who love childbirth, especially natural birth. We are childbirth educators, midwives, mothers, and doulas. We are younger women, older women, professional women, and lay supporters. We love to talk about childbirth, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. We do all we can to support women who choose to birth and parent in harmony with God’s design.

Anyone can join in here, and post comments, or even author new articles. We only ask that you respect natural childbirth, and not post just for the sake of causing strife between members.

We honor many opinions and points of view, because every woman and every baby and every family is unique. We know that some women will never desire to give birth naturally, and that has to be OK. We wish everyone would know the joy of natural childbirth, but we want to support even those who will choose options we would not.

We love the miracle of birth, and we want to see it preserved as a miracle, but we also want to support and encourage those who have been brought up in a culture that fears birth. We at christianbirth.org want to HELP these women to have better births, by giving them information, education and loving support. We do not want them “turned off” to childbirth by our attitudes. We aren’t going to change the world of childbirth by sowing division, but we can lead the way to a different future for our granddaughters by loving every birthing mother and helping her make informed choices, even if her choices are different from ours.
